It is the duty of the Assessor to identify and value property within the Town in accordance with Real Property Tax Laws of NYS. All exemptions are administered by the Assessor; including veteran, senior citizen, enhanced star renewals, agricultural and wholly exempt properties.
Current senior citizen exemption is based on income and ranges from a 50% assessed valuation for income below $29,000, to a 5% exemption for income below $37,400.

The Assessor is required to mail property owners a notice of change in their assessment ten days prior to Grievance Day. Assessment rolls are available on this website.
March 1st - Deadline for filing exemptions
May 1st - Tentative Assessment Roll completed and filed with the Town Clerk.
Grievance Day: 4th Tuesday in May
July 1st - Final Assessment roll completed and filed with the Town Clerk.
